Spring has Sprung

I’m in LOVE. Spring has Sprung at Wild Hearts Farm and it is pure magic.

Each and every year Jodall (WHF owner) and I tell ourselves we are going to take notes of what is blooming and when. Planning a Spring photo session can be tricky business. Some years things bloom early other years blooms seem to be late. We try to make an educated guess but at the end of the day, our prediction could still be off by a week or three…

Wild Hearts Farm Wings Session

This weekend I was at Wild Hearts Farm Saturday & Sunday. Lucky me. Saturday I was shooting my wings mini sessions near the pond and willow swing. Sunday I photographed a beautiful family and super fun Winnie the Pooh themed cake smash. Shooting back-to-back days on the farm is a treat. All the best seasonal offerings on the farm are fresh in my mind. Which is great for planning future Spring session on the farm.

Spring Photo Session

Below I am excited to share one of the Wings Mini Sessions I photographed on Saturday. I have been photographing this little lady since she was tiny. Our time together over the years has made her a total pro in front of the camera. Such a pro in fact that we had time for three outfit changes during her wings mini session. Outfit changes complete with wings & flower crowns. Fun!

Her twirl, jump, swing and smile game was on point too.

She loved tiptoeing along the rocks near the newly bloomed foxgloves. As an artist, I loved the leading line the foxgloves offered to frame in my little lady! The green Trish Scully dress mom picked and handmade flower crown (moms design) were the perfect match. LOVE!!!

Next, we popped out to the buttercup meadow and pond willow for a little more photo fun. Here we swapped her white flower crown for a beautiful handmade pink one. Added butterfly wings and a super fun and flowy pink dress for a little spring photo session perfection.

Last we tossed her hair into a top bun and put on one of my all-time favorite Dollcake dress. Then we headed for the Wild Hearts Farm rainbow garden. The Lupin is blooming in the rainbow garden and I am in love with the way it photographs. The beautiful purple hues made for the perfect setting for her light pink Dollcake dress. She had so much fun showing me her best ballet moves and twirling in the flowy gown. Fun!
