Spring Sister Session
Magnuson Park has been the home to Heleyna Holmes Photography for three years now. Can you believe it? I continue to feel pretty darn lucky to be one of the creatives in Building 30 West.
Magnuson Park P-Patch
The Magnuson Park P-Patch is one of my favorite parts of my home-away-from-home. The P-patch is a magical little place. Complete with a child’s garden, orchard and learning garden. Amongst the p-patch plots are areas dedicated to the local food bank too. Amazing!
This beautiful sister session was held mid-March in the Magnuson Park P-patch. When I was planning this spring session I thought we might have more colorful blooms. Upon first glance, I thought the p-patch still seemed to be asleep for the winter. But as we walked around and explored we found some great color pops to bring our spring session together. The garden is indeed coming back to life. It’s inspiring to me as a creative!
I especially love the backlight photos near the blooming purple rosemary. The rosemary smelled SO good and was the perfect addition to this sisters session. Both of the girls loved running in and around it. I loved using its pretty purple hue in the foreground and background of portraits. The purple pop helped pull the girls adorable matching Vans into the shoot too. Perfection!
I will continue to keep a close eye on the Spring blooms and progress at the Magnuson Park P-patch. If you are in search of the perfect Spring family photo session location the Magnuson Park P-Patch just might be it. You can book your Spring photo session HERE!
