In June I visited Hartstene Island. Summer was just starting to peek through the clouds. My family and I had a fantastic week long stay on the beautiful island. I could go on and on about our accommodations, however our little getaway spot is top secret. 🙂

Sonja had just received this sweet little bunny from Bunnies By the Bay. Her name is Bloom. Bloom had not left Sonja’s side since her arrival.  Naturally we had her along for our week long adventure.

(-Here is where the guilty mom/photographer part comes in-)

I photograph my children A LOT. This is true. They are just too darn cute.

With that said…

I would like to make it known that Sonja hand picked this location.

As we cruised past this open field filled with purple fox gloves. I hear…

“MAMA BLOOM,  MAMA BLOOM… MATCH” from the backseat.

She is almost two.  This was her way of letting me know that her new friend Bloom “matched” this beautiful meadow.

Amazing, Right?

She is the daughter of a photographer…what can I say!

The rest my friend is history.

Sonja, Bloom and I spent the next 30 mins soaking up the warm summer sun in the beautiful meadow on Hartstene Island.
