I truly cannot believe this little lady is one year old. It seem like her newborn session was just yesterday. Where has the time gone?

In true Heleyna Holmes Photography spirit a cake smash was in order.

Nothing says welcome to the toddler stage like a little one loaded with sugar. As luck would have it , our neighborhood Metropolitan Market sells the worlds most beautiful cakes. You better believe her Mama and I called dibs on the leftovers before the session even started.

Before we got all messy with that delicious cake, we did a few first birthday photographs to document this fleeting time.

We started with my new white futon, which photographs brilliantly with bold and bright colors. So modern and fresh. Isn’t here sweet little dress perfect for this look. I just love it!

We also put my antique crib to good use. I love the vintage feel the antique crib bring to the studio. It is with out a doubt my best craigslist find of all time. So light and airy!
