Forest Park | Mukilteo, Washington
I’m in love with this session!!
I’ve been photographing this beautiful little girl for four years now. When I realized I had the opportunity to photograph her again, peonies immediately came to mind. I knew she would love a peony inspired shoot!
Two weeks ago, I had stopped by Metropolitan Market on a typical shopping trip. My eye was instantly drawn to the amazing peonies they had just started carrying. I immediately snapped up two bundles just for fun.
Last week, I ended up picking up SIX more bundles for this perfect Peony inspired shoot!! It took a few trips. I ended up going to PCC and Metropolitan Market four times to make sure I had the perfect colors. A cashier who recognized me at one point exclaimed to the bag person, “Go grab me a thing of peonies, because this lady is going to buy them all!”. There were so many varieties and colors of peonies, and I love them all.
The week of the shoot, I happened to find the perfect dress!! Value Village is my one stop shop for stylized shoot. This session was no exception. I found a super sweet peony dress from Abercrombie & Fitch. It was fate!
We ended up shooting at Forest Park in Mukilteo at golden hour. We were surrounded by woods, ferns, and the grass was carpeted with daisies. She wore a peony crown, held a peony bouquet, and of course wore the beautiful peony dress. You can never have to many peonies.
I’m thinking I’ve found my new love, flower crowns.
