Meet Dottie – Dottie is a 1968 Volkswagen Bus – Camper and the newest addition to the Wild Hearts Farm team.

Since Wild Hearts Farm began in 2015 we have dreamt of having a VW or Bug as part of our photo venue offerings.

BACKSTORY

Jodall – (my best friend & Wild Hearts Farm owner) first car was a Volkswagen Bug. I often think of Volkswagen owners as an elite group. Once you’ve owned a Volkswagen – a VW alliance for life is inevitable. Jodall is a good example of this. Her love for Dottie our VW Bus is deep.

Side-note: Dottie is a stick shift/ manual transmission.

Reads: Can be tricky to drive.

Fact: I am pretty sure Jodall can find reverse in Dottie with her eyes closed. Which is one of the VW life skills that make Jodall the perfect new owner.

FINDING DOTTIE & MAKING HER OUR OWN

I have walked past Dottie for many years in my NE Seattle neighborhood. This winter I noticed a 8.5×11 piece of computer paper with the words “for sale” in bold. I grabbed a few iphone photos and sent the bus information along to Jodall. The rest as they say is history!

Dottie was ours by the end of that week.

After a few month stay in the body shop and a fresh paint job. Dottie is now at her forever home at Wild Hearts Farm.

Dottie the Volkswagen Bus is an absolute dream come true for team Wild Hearts Farm & Heleyna Holmes Photography. We are excited to share with the world Dottie’s very first Fall set. Holiday/Christmas sets in Dottie are coming soon too!
