Magnuson Park – All White Studio Session

One of my favorite session types here at Heleyna Holmes Photography are all white studio sessions. Since moving in to my Magnuson Park Studio I have really perfected the look.  I lovingly call these signature session – Session en Blanc.

Sessions en Blanc really shouldn’t be my favorite. From a technical point of view they can be tricky to light. Especially for little people with lots of wiggles. The all white seamless paper can also get dirty pretty darn easy.  Which makes post production just that… a production. Nonetheless Session en Blanc make my photographer heart sing.

I love the pureness of the Session en Blanc

There is something magical about them. I feel like you really see the child first. Some studio sets can get too busy for my taste. Crazy background or a lot of props in the foreground.  It can get confusing as to what you are really looking at.

I love the genuine connections and interactions that come shining through in all white studio sessions.

-Childs age-on fingers & toes!

-Peek-a-BOO-which is funny every.single.time  (with hands over eyes & peeking over shoulder)

-Counting toes – then trying to count toes while rocking side-to-side. This is also funny every.single.time.

-Knock knock jokes – which equals some big belly laughs!

-Red light, green light & my favorite Heleyna Holmes Photography’s own SMILE light.

 & a round of animal charades- the snake is the easiest to spot.
