Magnuson Park – Winter Family Photo Session
Magnuson Park has been home to Heleyna Holmes Photography for 2 years. The time sure has flown by! I feel so blessed to be part of the thriving community of artist in Building 30 West.
I am excited to share this Magnuson Park winter family photo session. Shot in November in and around Magnuson Park’s Hangar 30, P-patch and Amphitheater. Building 30 has so much to offer. Of course my favorite part of Magnuson Park is Building 30 west. The artist community that is home to Heleyna Holmes Photography.
However, most people know the building for its 20,000 square foot aircraft hangar. Hangar 30 is a popular venue for fun runs, sales and public & private events. I love peeking in during weddings and corporate events. I have seen the hangar transformed magically many times. It’s much like a blank canvas to event planners and creative brides-to-be.
From a photography standpoint my favorite part of Hangar 30 are the large blue doors located on the south and north sides of the building. I love the urban feel and leading lines they offer. Of course 10 quick minutes in the Hangar itself on a bright sunny winter day is pretty darn amazing too. But very rare! We happened to luck out this November afternoon. The sun was bright and clear and in the exact right spot to light up the aircraft hanger. I even captured a little lens flare, indoors in November, magical I tell you!
After a quick wardrobe change we set off for a winter/holiday card portion of our session. The Magnuson Park P-patch and Amphitheater were the perfect location for this beautiful families second look. The golden hour had started at the Magnuson Park P-patch and Amphitheater were a glow. More lens flare and smiles!
